Ballot to choose Members of the Community Council

To re-establish Westhill & Elrick Community Council, there have been more nominations received than the maximum number of Community Councillors as detailed in the Scheme of Establishment.  This means that a ballot will take place on Thursday 27th February in the Ashdale Hall, Westhill between 12pm and 8pm.

The candidates are detailed below. Candidate personal statements will be issued for view  next week on Tuesday 25th February. All residents are invited to vote for their preferred 17 Members.

Notice of WECC Special Meeting on 9th January 2020

A Special Meeting of Westhill & Elrick Community Council has been arranged for Thursday 9th January 2020 at 7pm at Holiday Inn Westhill                      

The purpose of the Special Meeting is to discuss a resolution for Voluntary Dissolution of the Community Council.

All residents are welcome to attend 

Following the Special Meeting there will be an informal meeting of residents present with the aim of collecting 12 signatures on a letter to instruct Aberdeenshire Council to start the process to form a new Community Council

Arnhall Moss – the next 5 years

Arnhall Moss was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 1992. It has a management plan which is reviewed every 5 years and the next 5 year plan is just in the process of being written. The plan sets all the things that could be done at the site over the next few years, so includes things like how to look after and improve the paths; how to manage the trees on the site and how the site could be used for community events.
