The U91c Westhill to Blackburn road is set to close on the 11th May until the 15th May for carriageway repairs, the Westhill and Elrick Community Council learned this week. The U91c is used as the main access road for the A96 heading Northbound towards Inverness. The road is also used by many to avoid the often precarious Tyrebagger junction with the A96 for journeys to Aberdeen International Airport.

A short diversion will be set up diverting drivers along the B979 Tyrebagger road. A shorter, but narrower, detour is available past Clinterty and rejoins the A96 at a roundabout rather than the Tyrebagger T-junction.
