Carnie Woods Path Restoration – User Survey

Many parts of Carnie Woods and its trails were devastated by last winter’s storms. Although most of the fallen trees have since been cleared, many of the trails are still in poor condition.

In a first phase of restoration, Westhill & Elrick Community Council, together with the landowner Aberdeen City Council, is planning to restore the right of way through Carnie Woods to an all-abilities standard surface of compacted hardcore material suitable for walkers, joggers, cyclists and wheelers [that is pushchair and wheelchair/mobility scooter users].

Together, we would like to get a better understanding of how the community currently uses the path network in Carnie Woods and the likely impact such an investment would make.

Please take the survey per link below. It should take no more than 5 minutes. Please also encourage others to respond. The survey will close on Friday, 4th November 2022. Thank you

Carnie Woods Now Open Again

I’m pleased to announce that Carnie Woods is now open to the public, subject to the public using the site responsibly. Currently there are no plans in place for replanting the site, nor replacing footpaths but  these will be discussed soon.

Regards,

Simon
