Groups and agencies who have a project which will help reduce social isolation or encourage inclusion in Garioch are being invited to apply for a share of £25000.
Reducing social isolation and encouraging inclusion are two priorities for the Garioch area and the Garich Partnership are keen to see applications from community groups, voluntary sector and non profit organisations that will help make a difference.
This is part of an innovative new scheme called Your Voice Your Choice that will see the public asked to vote on which projects should get the funding.
Following successful pilots in Fraserburgh and Peterhead last year the Your Voice Your Choice initiative has been extended in to other areas of Aberdeenshire including Garioch. The funding has come from Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
People have until the 21 April to submit bids of between £250 and £5000 for their project.
Applicants will be asked to design a poster which promotes their project (be creative as you like but help will be available to do this if needed!) which will then be taken around community events during May and June where the public will be asked to vote for their favourite projects.
The projects with the most votes will then receive a share of the funding.
Applications can be made on-line on the Garioch Partnership website or by using the attached form — click Application Form – Final 4.
Closing Date for applications: 21 April 2017. Funding will need to be spent by June 2018.
