A road near Westhill is to close for public safety reasons to allow additional works at a development.

The U97C Hill of Keir Road will be shut from west of the town from the junction of Old Skene Road to Cairnfiled from February 6 for an estimated three weeks.

Aberdeenshire Council said access for pedestrians and to adjacent properties will be maintained whenever possible.

Site notices are due to be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.
