A MAJOR sprinkling of festive magic is to be added to Westhill and Elrick on December 12.
Music and mince pies will be on offer during the annual Christmas tree lights switch-on.
The event, organised by Westhill and Elrick Community Council, will run from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at the Westhill Shopping Centre.
Songs and carols will be led by local churches, with free Hot Chocolate and other warming treats being handed out.
The lights will be switched on by community stalwart May Wallace, who in 2013 was Volunteer of the Year in the Age Scotland Awards.
We hope as many residents as possible will come along and join the festive celebration.
The winner of the Best Dressed Window in the shopping arcade will also be announced at the event.
