A CALL was made to help clean up Westhill after volunteers filled two skips with rubbish from a short section of roadside on the A944.

A litter pick is scheduled for June 20, meeting at the Tennis Court car park at 10am, with more to follow in the year.

A WECC spokesman said: “Surely none of us can be happy seeing litter spoiling our environment? Unfortunately, far too many of us appear to be guilty of either creating it or not doing enough preventing it.

“Scouts Cubs, Guides, Eco Clubs and even nursery groups as week as some special award seeking individual youngsters have taken up the challenge to hep clear the mess in Westhill and do their best to create a better environment.

“You can also make a difference. Please join us if you can.”
