FIFTY SCARECROWS ADORNED the streets of Westhill on Sunday as families followed the route and picked their favourites. Although the rain fell on the participants (and their stuffed friends too!) it was fun squelching around in wellie boots; the event was an overwhelming success and everyone enjoyed taking part.
Raymond Swaffield, designated photographer for the event, has taken numerous photographs for the WECC’s gallery and will be available very soon!
All of the score sheets are being counted and the winning scarecrow will be announced at this year’s gala, on the 6th June. Also at the gala, all fifty of the scarecrows from this year’s fence will sitting along the fence to see and take photographs with.
The WECC and the Westhill Art Project thank everyone who took part and eagerly look forward to seeing you at next year’s Scarecrow Trail!
