WORK on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route — the city bypass — is getting under way in earnest.

Linking with the A90 to the north and south of the city, the 28-mile dual carriageway will cross the A944 Aberdeen-Westhill road just west of the 5 Mile Garage.

The construction period is set to last up to 30 months and will bring some travel delays and disruption.
