£2.2 milllion, on top of the £1.8 million previously allocated, was today announced by Aberdeenshire Council for the construction of affordable housing in Westhill, Peterhead, Stonehaven, Marykirk, Turriff, Huntly and Banff, subject to discussions with the Scottish Government.
The funds aim to fill the funding gap in both Aberdeenshire Council and the Registered Social Landlord’s development schemes, which are set to build ten affordable houses within Westhill
Construction of these developments, if approved, will begin this year and are due to be completed before March 2017.
