AFC stadium proposal
Aberdeen Football Club has announced proposals for a new stadium and training facility near Westhill.
The site at Kingsford is west of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and lies within the city boundary.
The club wants to have training facilities in place by 2018 and the stadium for the 2019/20 season.
AFC has indicated the next step will be a 12-week period of public consultation, after which initial planning for the training facilities will be applied for.
- As plans come forward, WECC will scrutinise them and at that point may decide to take a formal view on them. Residents who feel strongly about the proposals are encouraged to contact Aberdeen City Council to find out how they can make representation through the planning process.

The Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k takes place on Sunday 12th June. The Westhill and District Community and Sport Hub is looking for volunteers to assist on the day of the event.
