Denman Park paths – final stage under way!

Our contractor is now on site laying the top layer of bonded material on top of the quarry material that was laid earlier in the summer. Work areas will be cordoned off as illustrated, and as work progresses around the park. Please respect the cordoned off markings as the material needs at least 24 hours to cure. Thank you

Community Council Elections 2024

In 2024, Community Council elections are changing and for the first time all Aberdeenshire Community Councils will be elected on the same date, with nominations sought for all spaces on all Community Councils.

Nominations to join your Community Council will open on 19 August 2024 and close on 8 September 2024.

Community Councils are comprised of people who care about their community and want to make them a better place to live. We hope that previous members will want to continue representing their communities but are also keen to encourage new people to become involved and give up some of their time to sustain and develop their communities. Whatever your background, you have something to bring to your Community Council.

If there are not enough candidates to meet the minimum numbers to form the Community Council, a Community Council will not be able to be formed and this will leave a considerable gap in the representation of local views and involvement in development of policy and how your area develops and grows.

As a Community Councillor you will be provided with training and support and you will learn about how things work, get to develop and undertake projects and get a real sense of achievement when you see the difference you can make.
