The community will soon experience a much improved path surface on this sector of the Westhill Orbital Trail thanks to recent grant awards from Paths For All Ian Findlay Path Fund and the FCC Communities Foundation totalling £42,785. The money raised will be used to improve drainage and widen the existing 475m path over challenging terrain and restore the original line of the path through the trees in the north west corner of the golf course. The aim is to have a path that can be used all year round by all members of the community.

Thanks are also due to Stewart Milne Homes and Westhill Golf Club, the respective landowners, for agreeing to the work being carried out.

We hope that our contractors will be on site in April so that improvements to getting around the north of town more comfortably will be possible in a matter of a few weeks

 The local South West Aberdeenshire Citizens Advice Bureau have a course coming up for new Volunteer Advisers starting in May

The survey has now been extended to 31^st March so that any resident who has not already completed it has the opportunity to make their views known on the changes that they would like to see in Westhill and Elrick. This information will be used as the basis for our Community Action Plan which  will help us to identify the issues that residents feel are important to them.
