There will be a public meeting at the Dunecht Hall on Thursday the 18th January at 19.30 to discuss the proposed electricity pylons project. It has been set up by the Echt and Skene Community Council and will be attended by Andrew Bowie MP.

The Hill of Fare Windfarm planning application has now been submitted

The planning application for the Hill of Fare Windfarm (6km north of Banchory) has now been submitted by RES to the Energy Consent Unit (ECU) in Edinburgh for approval to build 16 turbines at heights between 180-200m.

As a result of this application the Hill of Fare Information Group is holding a meeting to discuss the implications of this planning application. The meeting has been arranged at the Trinity Church in Westhill at 7.30-9.30pm on Friday 15^th December.

The closing date for comments to the ECU application is 2nd February 2024.

The 2 local Community Police Officers (PC James Stewart & PC Chris Williamson) will be at the Westhill Library between 10am and 12pm on Tuesday 14^th November 2023 in order to speak with, engage and answer any questions or concerns that any local resident may have
