Three Sunday buses serving Westhill have been withdrawn as a result of a review of supported services.
The changes, which take effect from July 17, 2017, are:
A letter from Aberdeenshire Council explained: “As you may be aware, the Council provides such ‘socially necessary services’ to cater for what are considered travel needs that would, otherwise, be unmet through the provision of commercial bus services.
“The review primarily focused on supported services which are performing relatively poorly, as indicated by the Performance Management Framework Model (PMFM), which was adopted by Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee in 2010.”
The other Garioch service affected is the Kingseat–Inverurie via Kinmuck, which will see a withdrawal of Tuesday only shoppers’ service via Kinmuck and alternative Thursday shoppers’ service available via Hatton of Fintray.
