Sport and leisure: courses on offer


Westhill and District Community Sport and Leisure Hub has organised two courses for the month of May.

A workshop in Safeguarding and Protecting Children will be held on Wednesday 17th May at Westhill Academy.

It is FREE to all coaches of sport/leisure clubs in the local area. Only 20 places are available. First come, first served basis.

A generic course in Emergency First Aid for Sport is scheduled for Wednesday 24 May and Wednesday 31 May, 6.30pm to 9.30pm (both evenings are required) at Westhill Academy, Westhill.

The course will enable a candidate to be able to act as a first aider to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Services when required.

It will also provide learners with the ability to respond to emergency first aid situations that may arise when coaching, officiating, helping or participating in sport.

The cost is £10 per person and is open to all coaches of sport/leisure clubs in the local area.
