Extra drop-in sessions have been organised for the Garioch area following the recent devastating floods.

The drop-in sessions will run by the Scottish Flood Forum on Thursday, January 21.

Homes and properties in Inverurie, Port Elphinstone and Kintore were severely damaged after the River Don hit record-breaking levels and burst its banks.

The sessions planned are:

• 9am – 11.30am. Kintore Bothy, Allendale Gardens, Kintore, AB51 0UT

• 12 noon – 4pm. Port Elphinstone Community House, 1 Pinewood House, Elphinston Road, Port Elphinstone, Inverurie AB51 3UX

• 5pm – 9pm. Kemnay Village Hall, 8 Aquithie Rd, Kemnay, AB51 5SS.
