The next Westhill and Skene Lions Club monthly charity book sale is on Saturday, September 5, at Westhill Shopping Centre. It will run from 9am to 12.15pm and offer a large stock of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, plus CDs and DVDs.

A club spokesman said: “The proceeds from the September sale will be going to the Westhill Men’s Shed to assist them to purchase a defibrillator.”

Defibrillators can help save the lives of people who suffer a cardiac arrest.

The Club recently donated £400 to the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
