MAJOR roadworks will take get under way on Friday, July 31, on the A944 Aberdeen-Westhill road as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) scheme.
Construction will take place for the Kingsford, South Kingswells Junction, during the next month at weekends and overnight.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: “Traffic management is planned during AugustĀ for works in the Kingsford area to enable a temporary bridge to be constructed over the A944, for use by construction traffic, at the location of the works for the new South Kingswells Junction.”
The bypass, due for completion at the end of 2017, is predicted to “significantly improve travel in and around Aberdeen and the north east of Scotland”.
