A turnpike stone has now been “planted” in a new location at the south side of the junction of the B9119 and the A944 near the Brotherfield Road.
The reinstatement was carried thanks to Bert McIntosh of McIntosh Plant Hire, having been agreed with Aberdeen City Council.
On one side is carved Echt and Midmar, and on the other Skene, Echt House, Alford and Strathdon.
WECC had campaigned for the stone to be on public display after it entered storage in August 2013.
