Next WECC meeting: bus services up for discussion

A representative from bus company Stagecoach will be attending the next monthly meeting of the Westhill and Elrick Community Council to take questions about services.

Members of the public — who are welcome to attend monthly meetings — can also quiz Stagecoach about operations and plans.

There will also be updates on the shopping centre and Westhill Gala at the meeting, which takes place from 7pm-9.40pm on Thursday, April 13, at the Holiday Inn, Westhill Drive. For the agenda, click WECC Agenda – 13-April-2017.

WECC backs Boundary Commission proposals

Westhill and Elrick Community Council has supported proposals from the Boundary Commission to include Westhill and surrounding countryside, known as Ward 13 in Aberdeenshire Council, in the new UK parliamentary seat of Gordon and Deeside.

Members agreed to make representation to the Commission on the 2018 Review of UK Parliament Constituencies.

Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2017: update

Following consideration of the Scottish Government Reporters’ Report into the examination of the proposed Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan, Aberdeenshire Council has published the plan it wishes to adopt.

The Council expects to formally adopt the plan on 17 April 2017.
